PRESIDENT’S LETTER
August 2014

Dear Zonta friends,

The club is building momentum and off to a fast start for our new program year. On September 12, we will gather at Brio Tuscan Grille in Cherry Creek to celebrate our achievement of 501(c)(3) status, with an Italian buffet beginning at 6:00 pm. Please extend a special invitation to former Zonta II members, and to family, friends, and anyone interested in Zonta. Representatives of our service agencies and Zonta Area 3 members are also invited. Thanks to Emma and Mary for sending Save the Dates for this event, and thanks also to Julia for developing the E-vite invitation, and to Ellen and Terri for setting up PayPal on our website. Don’t miss this opportunity to toast our success!

As an Ex-Officio member of all club committees, I am excited that the chairs and members of every committee have rolled up their sleeves and begun implementing great ideas for this program year. The Fundraising, Service, Advocacy, and Membership committees have much news to share, and you will find it in the newsletter.

Nominations for Zontian of the Year are due to Mary by August 17. We will vote for Zontian of the Year at our August 28 dinner meeting at the University Club. The teachers who were awarded Zonta II grants will be the guest speakers at the August dinner meeting. Hope to see you on August 28.
